José Raúl Capablanca Graupera. Great Cuban Teacher, glory of the Cuban sport. World champion of chess of 1921 at 1927. He/she was known as the The machine of playing chess”. He/she is born November 19 1888 in the military installation of the Prince’s Castle, in Havana, the commandant’s of the Spanish army son José María Capablanca, of good education, cult and fond of the chess, and of Mrs. María Graupera. Havana was then, together with New York and New Orleans, the biggest chess center in America.
